Please follow the instructions below when conducting a load test against the CyberSource Test environment.

Note: Load testing should never be performed in the Production environment.

Contact your CyberSource Support representative with as much advance notice as possible before initiating your load test (a minimum of 48 hours is required).  In your email, please include the following:
  1. Your CyberSource Merchant ID
  2. Start and End Date and Time of testing
  3. Number of transactions per second that you plan to send (keep this to under 5 transactions per second, maximum)
  4. IP Address and Domain Name the transactions will be generated from
  5. The cell phone number and email address of the individual responsible for testing so that CyberSource can contact them in the event that the load test must be stopped/paused
  6. List of Services/Connection Methods that will be called/used as part of this load test
  7. Additional Details (Optional)
The CyberSource Test environment is not optimized for load testing; however, we understand the importance of testing your implementation. Because of this, we ask that you keep your load test throughput under 5 transactions per second.  Otherwise, you may negatively impact performance for other merchants also engaged in testing.

Note: CyberSource reserves the right to block your load test at any time if it is negatively impacting our Test system.
