A bank transfer, called a 'giro', is a payment method in which the payer (customer) initiates payment to the bank account of the payee (merchant), a local payment-receipt bank account setup by CyberSource on behalf of the merchant. This is in contrast to many common payment types in which the merchant pulls funds from the customer's account.

For more information about bank transfers, see the CyberSource Global Payment Service Planning Guide.
