Problem Description

You observe "DO NOT HONOR" or "Invalid Service Code" in transaction reply messages.


The DO NOT HONOR or Invalid Service Code messages indicate that the customer's card-issuing bank or the payment processor declined the transaction. Because they have not validated the transaction, there is no authorization code returned to Cybersource.


To resolve the issue and capture the transaction as originally intended, you must obtain a Verbal Authorization. After obtaining the verbal authorization, you can capture the transaction manually

If you choose not to capture the transaction, no further action is required. You may advise the customer to use an alternate payment method in order to be charged.
