When upgrading from Authorize.Net to Cybersource, there are several options regarding your current API integration. Be sure to check with your developer/shopping cart provider for help determining which option you should choose.

Hosted Payment Solutions

If you are using Authorize.Net’s hosted payment solutions, such as Server Integration Method (SIM), Simple Checkout, Direct Post Method (DPM) or Accept Hosted, you must update your integration to use a compatible Cybersource API Integration or a CyberSource compatible shopping cart.

Cybersource API Integration Options: Your new CyberSource integration will have its own unique API credentials. Please see your web developer for assistance.

3DS Reminder
Whichever integration option you select, you must enable and use 3DS, as this is the authentication tool that will assist you with SCA. Cybersource’s 3DS solution is called Payer Authentication and it can be used with Secure Acceptance or any Cybersource API. If you choose to keep your Authorize.Net integration, you must still implement Payer Authentication or another 3DS solution to satisfy SCA.

Non-Hosted Payment Solutions

If you are using Authorize.Net’s non-hosted payment solutions, such as Advanced Integration Method (AIM) or Authorize.Net API (XML, JSON)or Accept.js, you can continue using this integration method but you will need to generate a special key in your Cybersource account called ISV Bridge. This is a special ID and Key that can be used in place of your normal Authorize.Net API ID and Key which will allow you to attempt to use existing API integrations with your Cybersource account. It is still recommended to move to a Cybersource API Integration or a Cybersource compatible shopping cart to take full advantage of updates and new features.

*Note if you are using Authorize.Net API (SOAP), your integration will NOT continue to work and you will need to update your integration to another integration method.

Steps to generate an ISV Bridge Integrations Key:
  • Log into the Business Center
  • Click on Key Management under Payment Configuration on the left hand side.
  • Click Generate Key at the top right.
  • Select ISV Bridge Integrations
For more information on the ISV Bridge Integrations please see our guide.

Cybersource API Integration Options: CyberSource Shopping/Technology Partner Options: Your new Cybersource account will have its own unique API credentials, which will be necessary if/when you move to a new Cybersource integration or shopping cart.
If you keep your existing integration, your existing Authorize.Net API Login ID and Transaction Key will continue to work. But if/when you need to regenerate either value in the future, you will need to do so from the Cybersource Business Center using the “Authorize.Net Bridge” option—not the standard CyberSource API credentials.
