Answer

You cannot disable Address Verification Service (AVS), you can, however, ignore AVS results to achieve the same outcome. when you ignore AVS results, Cybersource proceeds with the transaction regardless of the AVS result, and includes the AVS result in the reply and transaction details.

Ignore AVS Results

To ignore AVS results, set the request-value fields to the following values:

APIfield value
REST APIprocessingInformation.authorizationOptions.ignoreAvsResult = true
Simple Order API
SOAP Toolkit API
businessRules_ignoreAVSResult = true

You can also contact Cybersource Client Services to enable ignore AVS for your merchant account.

Limitations

AVS is supported only for cards issued in the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada. You might also want to check if your processor supports the authorization features.

Relaxed AVS

Some processors support Relaxed AVS. Relaxed AVS allows you to omit some fields from AVS validation. To enable relaxed requirements for address data and expiration date, contact Cybersource Client Services.
